Frequently Asked Questions

How do I do business with the University of Maryland, Baltimore County?

UMBC advertises requirements on eMaryland Marketplace Advantage (eMMA). Please register with eMMA on their New Vendor Welcome Page for contract opportunities with the University and other agencies in the State of Maryland. UMBC also maintains a bid board at http://procurement.umbc.edu/bid-board/.

Smaller purchases ($5,000 & under) have been delegated to each department within the University.

When responding to a solicitation, vendors should:

    1. Read the requirements, specifications, scope of work, instructions and terms and conditions carefully.
    2. Respond in accordance with the instructions.
    3. If something is not clear, it is the supplier’s responsibility to ask questions of the Procurement Officer conducting the solicitation.
