The Board of Public Works is the highest administrative body in the Maryland state government. Consisting of the governor, the comptroller, and the treasurer, it now derives its ultimate authority from the state Constitution and is responsible for the expenditure of all capital appropriations and the superintendence of nearly all state public works projects. Each year it deals with hundreds of millions of dollars.

The Office of Small, Minority & Women Business Affairs: Small businesses, including those owned and operated by minorities, women, and veterans, have many resources available to assist and guide them with nearly every area of business from getting started, to specialized lending programs, to technical assistance with government procurements.

The goal of the GPC is to foster the health of our communities and environment by promoting sustainable procurement practices in government.

The University System of Maryland (USM) Procurement Forecast Portal database is populated with projected purchases of $100,000 and above for the current fiscal year. Not all projected purchases will be made as indicated in the Procurement Forecast.
